This Privacy Policy explains how SpeedOut Lab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Android applications we publish on Google Play (each an "App," collectively the "Apps"), including Running Services Monitor. This Policy applies to every App published under the SpeedOut Lab developer account, now and in the future, unless a specific App links to a separate policy of its own.
By installing or using any App published by SpeedOut Lab, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. We do not sell your personal information.
SpeedOut Lab publishes small utility and developer-tool Android apps, several of which are open source. Because our Apps differ in what, if anything, they collect, this Policy is intentionally written to cover our whole catalog. For an App-specific breakdown, always check that App's Data Safety section on its Google Play Store listing — it takes precedence over the general descriptions below for that particular App.
Unless a specific App's store listing or Data Safety section says otherwise, our Apps do not collect, request, or transmit:
If a future App genuinely needs any of the above, that collection will be disclosed in the App's store listing, its Data Safety section, and an in-app consent prompt shown before any such data is accessed.
Device and technical data. Some Apps read technical details needed to do their job. For example, Running Services Monitor reads the list of currently running processes/services and basic device information (such as OS version and device model) in order to display that information back to you. This happens on your device and is not uploaded anywhere as part of that feature.
Permissions-based data. Some Apps request Android permissions such as Usage Access or Accessibility Service, which Android itself requires in order to read running-app or usage data. We request only the permissions needed for an App's stated purpose, and data read through these permissions stays on your device unless an App explicitly says otherwise.
Diagnostic data. If an App includes a crash-reporting or analytics library (for example, via Google Play services), that library may collect limited technical data such as crash logs or app version under its own privacy terms. Any App that does this will disclose it in its Data Safety section.
Our Android Apps do not use browser cookies. Some Apps store small amounts of data locally on your device (such as your saved settings) using standard Android storage; this stays on your device and isn't accessible to us unless you opt into a feature that syncs it elsewhere.
Any information described above is used only to provide and improve the relevant App's core functionality. We do not build advertising profiles from on-device data, and we do not sell user data.
Our Apps may rely on third-party infrastructure they don't control, such as Google Play services or open-source libraries. These components process limited technical data under their own privacy policies. Where a specific App shares data with a third party, that sharing is disclosed in the App's Data Safety section. Beyond this, we do not share your information with third parties except where required by law.
We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect information handled by our Apps. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data processed entirely on your device is retained only on your device and is removed when you clear the App's storage or uninstall it. If a specific App ever collects account information, that App will provide both an in-app and web-based way to request account deletion, as described in that App's own listing.
Our Apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us below and we will delete it.
You can review and change any permission granted to an App at any time in your device's Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over personal data we hold about you, such as access, correction, or deletion — contact us to exercise them.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as the revised Policy is posted at this URL; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
